Ever since the 1.8 "leak" Mojang has been putting the updates out for users before it officially comes out! This is great, because it allows the developers to fix bugs, and get feedback from the players willing to install the updates through the %appdata% file.
The less than a week after 1.8 was officially released, the 1.9 pre-release was posted on the Minecraft Forum's. Now we have the second pre-release which includes:
- Animal Breeding
- Fences Connect to Blocks
- New Player Views with 'F5'
- Smooth View is back! 'F8'
- Played around with endermen!
- HARDCORE MODE!
- New Music Disks by C418 (See Viedo)
Animal's Now Breed! - (Lets start with the funny one)
If you have some wheat you in your hand, animals will follow you! If you feed them the wheat, they enter "Love Mode." If two of the same animal are in "Love Mode." Well, you get it.Does this mean Minecraft will be rated M? LOL

Nice and Smooth again! 'F8'
Ever since 8.1 the 'F8' smooth camera view had been chucked out of the game.
After much begging minecrafters and YouTube recorders have gotten this nice feature back!

Endermen Bugs, Fixed
The developers changed a few properties about the endermen, now they pick up a list of blocks, instead of ones that the player interacted with. Hopefully this will stop endermen from placing down adminium (bedrock) like they used to in 1.8.
Hardcore Mode!
Play on the Hardest difficulty on Survival mode, and if you die, there is NO RESPAWN!
There are some new songs by C418!
C418 put out some new songs for minecraft, which are on music disks!
The new songs are:
